It's not about being better than Utah.
It is just to point out, that Utah has managed nearly 3 times as many wins against 9+ win P5s in a decade than BYU has in over 100 years of football.
BYU is 3-37-1 vs. all 9 win+ major/BCS/P5 teams in their entire history. If USC wins their bowl game it would give us only our 4th win against such competition.
Houston has had 4 wins against 9+ P5s since 2011
East Carolina has had 8 such wins since 1990.
Memphis has 3 such wins since 1996
Many of our fans think of us as a middle tier P5. In terms of beating very good P5 teams we sure don't act like it.

We sure do beat a lot of mid level G5's. Only beat 4 P5's that finished their season with 8 wins. None with 9 wins. That
