Sub 80 FPI would probably be a better measure for really bad losses than W-L
Losing to a 5-7 SEC team is probably a better loss than a 7-5 MAC team. Of course any 9 win P5 team would almost always be a top 30 FPI so you could measure that as a really good win without a qualifier

We sure do beat a lot of mid level G5's. Only beat 4 P5's that finished their season with 8 wins. None with 9 wins. That
