We are the same. The last couple of trees we bought were so dry
The were clearly cut months ago, that we finally got a prelit tree from Costco. Also, getting rid of the dead tree was getting tougher each year.

We did real trees for quite awhile but I finally had enough. Pre-lit artificial and I'm not going back.
