My parents never told us that they believed in Santa. As a kid when I
asked my mom if she believed in Santa she would always tell me that she believed in the spirit of Christmas which was all about Christ.

She would then ask me what I believed. As a little kid I would just say I believed in Santa but as I got a little older I started realizing that she never answered my question. So I quickly learned there wasn't a Santa.

Sure we would get presents from Santa as little kids but they were never the best presents. The best presents always came from Mom and Dad. Santa was never the shinning star so to speak during Christmas. However, that still allowed us as small kids to have that belief for a little while.

I thought the way my mom handled it was really good for us and let us make up our own mind about it.
