Depends on the 5G implementation
Millimeter wave 5G (the kind that all the ISPs advertise, because of its high theoretical speed of a gigabit or more) is terrible in dense areas because it gets super attenuated by walls and windows. You can go around a corner of a building and lose all signal. There is lower frequency 5G, but by that point the speed is decreased so much that it's about the same as 4G but with only minor improvements.
