But that sounds nuts to me. We actually do know a whole lot about Taysom and Steve Young at this point.

Steve Young, in college, set an NCAA completion % record, led an offense that set the NCAA record for total offense, was named a first-team All American, won the Davey O'Brien, was runner up for the Heisman, and was voted to the college football hall of fame.

Taysom was a force of nature at BYU, but these two guys don't sound even remotely similar.

So is it true that we don't know if Taysom will be a better version of Steve Young at this point? Sure, technically yes, because anything could happen in the future. But do we have a whole lot of information indicating that's pretty unlikely? Yup.
