then they will be self-sufficient and have equal salaries. The fact that the the NBA has to fund them shows that not enough people find the WNBA entertaining to support their modest salaries now. I completely agree that literally thousands of WNBA fans. The problem is that "thousands" of fans can't support hundreds of players, coaches, staff, travel, etc. You need "millions" of fans to support it.

And come on. It's laughable to say that the WNBA could surpass the NBA in any way. It's high school ball.
