I was digging holes, welding, mixing cement, not making livable money. Mid 20's.
One day I googled "highest paying professions", ran down the list until I found something that seemed reasonably attainable and a decent fit for my personality and academic strengths, and then I enrolled in classes a few weeks later. I'm ten years into this process and have 11 months to go until it's all over.

Not sure. I just woke up naked in the field that day. I'm pretty sure it was aliens, but I have no memory of it.
