I've never found a good color printer for home use. I exclusively use Brother
MFC printers at my work. I usually get 3-4 years out of them. All other brands never lasted more than 6 months at work.
The total page counter on my Brother MFC-8910DW is at 380,000 and going strong.

This is like asking what was the best kind of cancer you ever had

I know. With all our advances I feel like printers are the least reliable tech

Well, since printers can cause the cancer ... yeah.

Yes! I mistakenly bought a differently kind after our Brother bit the dust.

This, but we have an HP. Toner last forever... No jams, love it!

I recently had to get rid of my old HP printer at work. My IT guy thinks it

I bought a Brother HL-5370DW about 5 years ago and it is rock solid.

Here's an interesting report about HP printers potentially changing away from the "razor blade" business model

Normally, I'd agree: B/W Brother. But I have a HP LaserJet 4250. It's a tank.
