Mickey's house (and the other houses in toon town) are a waste of time. They are just photo ops.

Grab a fast pass for either indy, space mountain, or smugglers run, then do some of the high capacity rides that won't build up much of a line, especially early, like jungle cruise, pirates, haunted mansion, etc. We usually do just that. To get on rise of the resistance, you have to get a boarding group. They are going for the whole day within minutes, so get one as soon as they open for the day. (8 am I think).

DCA has better food generally. The blue bayou in disneyland is a fun experience, but the food isn't that impressive. Especially for what it costs. We like Rancho del Zocalo in DL and the warf area in DCA. The warf has mexican, chinese, sourdough bread bowls, and ghirardelli's chocolate shop. None of this is world changing food, but it is good. The Carthay Theater in DCA is interesting, but pricey. Make sure you catch world of color in DCA. It is an incredible show.
