I gased a little on the 20 but I think it had more to do with my nutrition and route than the run. I pushed it too hard and tried to hit some extra hills. Unfortunately it got me out too far and I ended up running low on liquids and energy packs. Went multiple miles over targets and it tailed spinner me last 6 miles. Luckily this run it along the gulf coast highway next to the ocean and a statepark in Orange Beach. Pancake flat 😁 I'm not looking for anything special on time with a goal of sub 4:30 is all. I'm not a great runner to start with so most those runs were more about getting mileage under my legs to build them up vs. speed. I decided to move to the Next% for the extra cushion. I usually run Altra Escalante but I've noticed after mile 15ish they became very uncomfortable. I spoke with Altra and they said they are not really targeted as a marathon racing shoe.
