I'm always amused when people say BYU has the pull to convince other schools to
leave conferences or form new ones. We might be able to pull it off with Utah State and UVU, but I doubt anyone else thinks about the Big 12 negotiations and decides to tie their fate to BYU.
I understand the "What about the MWC?" responses upcoming, but that was the better half of another conference breaking away from the leaches in a dysfunctional conference. Nobody in the MWC sacrificed anything or took risks.
