fans only remember the good games or plays. Nobody remembered he was 12 - 26 against NMSU and also couldn't lead the team to a TD against NIU and botched the BSU game at the end. Fans did remember the first half against Utah and the bowl game. Fans hyped him up as the next best thing. Sophomore year comes along and his decision-making is poor costing us several games with back-breaking turnovers at critical times. His arm strength / mechanics also looked worse (same as Mangum after his freshman year).
I hope it turns out differently for him, but I also hope the coaches don't have a blind allegiance to him (and it sounds like they don't and as it looks like it will be open QB competition).
