My best friend started taking Ibuprofen, about 800 milligrams every day for around 2 years over foot pain. He was a big guy and he'd had one of those stomach operations. One night he told his wife he was getting light-headed and then noticed a lot of blood in his stool. She called 911 and by the time the paramedics arrived his blood pressure had dropped to under 60/40. They rushed him to the hospital in AF, stabilized him, they realized he had lost a lot of blood internally.
So they diagnosed him a perforated small intestine. The ibuprofen had literally eaten away part of his intestine. So 2 operations later he had his small intestine shortened by over 6 feet. It's a pretty major operation or was 5 years ago, and after they had stitched him up the stitches burst and he ended back in an ER for 4 months. Finally, he was released back home and died 3 weeks later of a clot being thrown by the wound they had almost healed.
So ask me about Ibuprofen... lol.. stuff is evil.
