I’ll say at the outset I hate toll roads. So I probably have a bad attitude.

Anyway the car rental company wanted $14 a day for a transponder, but i was only going to use the toll road 2 of the 5 days. Strike 1.

I opted to take my chances. Booth 1 was great and dare I say revolutionary. It took credit cards with tap to pay. A perfect middle ground.


Booth 2 took cash, but didn’t give change.

Booth 3 took cash and gave change. For both 2 and 3 I was just thinking how much went to the attendants.

Booth 4 had no attendant but was coin only and I didn’t have enough. So I had to drive through in violation and I’ll have to pay later.

4 booths. 4 ways of handling payment. All different.

Did I mention I hate toll roads?
