I was sitting in an interesting youth discussion today. We have some pretty wealthy members in my ward, and the kids of these families were part of the discussion. They each live in homes that are probably like 5000 square feet with a hilltop view and fancy pools and all the trimmings. Anyway, the topic of wealth came up. The kids essentially said, “There’s nothing wrong I’m with having nice things if you worked hard for them”

Made me think a little bit. I mean. I agree on some level, but I guess I’m just not the big house type. I think I would feel guilty doing something like that for myself as opposed to investing in other things like businesses or perhaps even charities. But I don’t know, I imagine they see it as investing in their family. Where would you put your cash if you had that kind of cash available?
