the cable/satellite provider should allow you to at worst, upgrade to a higher tier or pick up the sports tier for a month, depending on where they have it. But if you have a podunk cable provider that doesn't have it, then YouTube TV and other streaming services that have it will gladly give you a free preview. So yeah, I agree I don't see this as a valid complaint of the conference's TV strategy.
