Doesn't seem like a sellout. But I agree it's annoying how small WCC venues are. It's too bad Gonzaga was so short-sighted when they didn't build theirs larger. They could easily get 15k+ fans per night.

That said, we're in a league with private, mostly faith based schools with strong academics that have small alumni bases because they have small enrollments.

The level of basketball as a whole right now is better than the MWC and gives us a better position for putting together an NCAA resume than the current MWC would which has more bottom feeders and fewer top-100 type teams. Football went independent and the other sports are doing the best they can with it. FWIW, the WCC is better than the MWC in all the olympic sports, and in most cases it's not even close.
