I took it voluntarily freshman year because people I trusted told me it was worthwhile. (I took econ 110 as a bus prerec and had poli-sci credit from Weber in highschool) so call me a masochist, but I really did enjoy the content. The tests were hard but they taught me how to study. The paper grading was undeniably arbitrary, but it taught me how to write for what the TA was looking for.
I'm not saying all classes should be more like that, but there I think it's a great class to which freshman into reality. If you can't hack AH, You need to take a long hard look at your study habits before jumping into the rest of BYU.
