basketball team being a close 2nd. If someone on the football team drinks, everyone knows about it. If someone in the accounting program does it, nobody thinks twice about it.

But my comment is more on my thoughts of Chaz coming home from his mission on fire with the gospel (most missionaries that I knew came home that way, he may not have but that is what I picture). He goes back to BYU and low and behold on the football team he has friends who are returned missionaries at BYU taking him out to parties and encouraging him to break his vows with the Lord. Again that makes me extremely sad.

You are right, I am still against getting rid of sports at BYU. It is the biggest connection I still have the school. But I can now at least see where they are coming from in getting rid of sports. BYU football appears to be playing a large part in Chaz's life getting thrown upside down. Thank goodness he didn't kill someone. If that is happening at BYU I could see why the BOT would not want it to happen anymore.
