BYU H2O POLO Walk-on
With Nixon out, it may turn out to be a good decision by Baxter. His role on

this team right now, is to do the glue things Nixon did. We don’t need him to score 12-15 pts a game. Play solid defense, rebound, set screens and bring the energy off the bench.  That’s what Nixon did.  Right now, he’s still working his way into game shape (getting use to being bodied, blocking out for rebounds, etc).  It will take him a couple of weeks.  He will be good to go by NCAA tourney time.  Next year, I think he will be better offensively after working with these coaches all summer and hopefully he doesn’t get injured so he plays the full year. Look at how much better Yo is this year, TJ, Jake is versus his first go around at BYU.  I think where the guards could do a better job of getting Baxter confidence, is when he picks for a guard at the free throw line or 3 point line, watch how good Baxter is at “diving” to the basket after the pick.  He is open quite often for an alley oop pass, which he could easily throw down.  The guards have yet to throw him this pass.  Hopefully, they will soon.
