The first year BYU was in the Orleans, I lost count how many times an LMU or St Mary's fan stopped me to tell me how happy they were to have us in the conference and how they hoped we could bring GU down a notch, because their fans were so insufferable. Considering all WCC schools not named BYU or GU at the tournament probably total < 1000, it gave me an idea how tired the other schools were of losing to the Zags and hearing it from their fans.

I have seen GU and BYU fans go at it — at the 2015 WCC semi women's game of all places. Fans were crossing the aisle that divided the two fan bases to get in each others faces and taunt during the game (BYU won). That was embarrassing. It wasn't out of control or anything. No ushers involved. Tom Holmoe didn't sit in our section. But yes, some BYU fans that go to the Orleans need to relax. You are going to be outnumbered. Zag fans will be louder than you. It's ok.
