It is my understanding that the gather step must come before
Either the gathering of the ball with two hands or having the hand under the ball and bringing it up. In that particular play that is referenced, Harden has started his gather before the first of 3 feet is down. After reviewing it and knowing the gather rule, I still thought it was a travel.
