He was tall and still had baby fat and was undeveloped. He has hit the weight room and someone (Pope and staff) at UVU has molded him like they did Jake Toolson to become legitimate threats on the court. If someone would have told me Harward would be our guy in the middle ever I’d have laughed a few years ago. Kudos to his dedication to improve and work ethic. Now, he has a chance to be a regular contributor and banger inside (limited hops) and possibly start on next year’s team.
Toolson went from a little bit heavy prospect (230 pounds) to suspect with Rose who discarded him but he came back from UVU a chiseled stud (210-215lbs of lean muscle) with an unbelievable shot from the arc and unstoppable when backing down guards trying to defend him.
Good developmental coaching did wonders for Harward and Toolson. Wait to see what Gideon George will do once developed by Pope and Co. Glad we got Pope!
