There's a big difference between your economy having a setback, albeit major,
and being "destroyed." The economies of western Europe were destroyed after WW2 - it would take decades to dig out, with serious aid. China's economy has had a major stall that could still be quite temporary in the grand scheme. The workforce and infrastructure is still there. If the virus abates in the next 6 months, China will have had a very bad year. But nothing like a "destroyed" economy.
