It's extremely annoying. I've had some important things cancel too.
just because there are people who have bigger problems - that doesn't mean it's not ok to be upset about what happened to you too. You worked a ton to do something you wanted and now you got the worst of both worlds, the work without the rewards. That sucks and I'm sorry it happened
