By many accounts there were more hospitalizations, but it was just attributed to a “worse than normal flu season”
It’s also entirely possible that with our incredible incomplete data on the virus that we’re vastly overestimating the hospitalization rate of those who get it. We only recently even became able to test for it, and yet we’re acting like we can easily and reliably extrapolate from what little data we have.

We heard the same rumor here in WA last week. There were a couple of units activated, but it was just for
