I kind of like our mayor, doing her best in a very trying political climate, but we've got some real boneheads in office here. We elected a DA who is the son of terrorists and thinks criminals need counseling rather than jail. We have a guy on the Board of Supervisors who blocks any and all construction of new housing while simultaneously making illegal modifications to his own real estate. We have a government that throws so many resources at homeless people, while allowing them unlimited access to drugs, and thus attracting parasites from all over the country.

In this one case, yes, they've bowed to the realities of the situation.
