If it’s already FDA approved for malaria in humans, then that eliminates a fair
number of potential reasons why drugs fail to translate from preclinical to clinical research.

- The safety profile is established, and is sufficiently tolerated in humans.
- The pharmacokinetics are sufficient for the drug to affect the biochemical mechanism it’s intended to modulate.

We’ll see.
