Did a little research. Not FDA approved for malaria, but there has been a lot

of research the past couple of years in using it in populations at risk for malaria.  In the US it is used for parasitic worms, scabies, and lice.  But your point remains that the drug is already established, with pharmacokinetics, and side effect profile already studied.
