If my brother got sick he would not be able to go into work and the family’s livelihood would vanish real quick. Business owners unfortunately do not benefit from the new paid sick leave benefits, especially when the owner is essential to all business operation. It just wasn’t worth the risk for my brother and his family so they waited to hug him until after he’d been home and quarantined long enough. It worked fine for them and wasn’t a big ordeal.
