What is the scientific study you are quoting? I would like to read it. The far majority of us will, of course, be exposed to some extent somewhere. But extent of exposure has shown to change rate of contraction pretty dramatically (see health care professionals).

I don't know what news clip you saw. We know the news looks for the sensational and crazy so that was probably involved. But I believe reasonable steps to avoid prolonged exposure is what any med professional would advise.
