There is no theory that says the virus just goes away. It will fester and flare-up throughout the globe for the next 12 - 24 months. It will only go away when the virus cannot find new hosts. And because of asymptomatic spread, it will be impossible to detect beforehand that spread is happening.

All the while hundreds of thousands of people will be dying of good old fashioned flu & pneumonia. Yet we are supposed to hide in our houses because of COVID? That does not seem rational.
