Feterik threw for 501. It was the first game BYU operated entirely out of the shotgun and ran a bunch of 5 wides
This was because BYU had been waxed by Tulane in the bowl game in 1998 and Chow visited Rich Rodriguez to pick his brain on what Tulane was running and put some of that into BYU's offense.
