Utah doesn’t have an honor code and
And can recruit whoever they want,Often bringing in guys that have been kicked out of other programs etc.

If that’s what you want your rooting for the wrong program IMO.

BYU gets plenty of quality players. They also have shown they can play with and beat top programs. For the most part the games against Utah with their 5 NFL Guys have been close.

IMO it comes down to coaching, especially for BYU. They need to out coach their opponents which may require some ingenuity but it can be done.

BYU is not getting rid of the honor code. Nor should they.

The answer is not to get rid of athletics either. Though the U would love that. BYU athletics as a whole is fantastic! I Love BYU athletics and I Would say the majority of fans feel the same.

The key to taking things to another level with football is winning and that’s going to need to and can come from coaching. Then a few additional top LDS recruits may come our way. It is also the best way to have a shot at getting into a power 5 conference and possibly making a New Years six game.

On a side note, everyone should be asking how Utah is sending 5 or more guys from one team to the NFL and where did they get these guys. I don’t think most of them were 4 stars coming out of high school. Why did they choose Utah over other schools? What is Utah doing to develop these guys to NFL ready by their senior year. How are they finding these guys? What are the intangibles they look for?

Kalani and Arod should know? But they may just not be parameters that will fit or work at BYU.

BYU gets great athletes, coaching is the difference, winning will then bring a few more great recruits.
