Actually, I felt the dynasty was over in the '99 season when the Jazz & Spurs
Were battling for the #1 seed. Late in the regular season the Jazz played the Spurs in a game that would pretty much settle who would get the top seed. Spurs won. At that I knew the odds were against the Jazz. They met Portland in the semifinals and lost.
Trivia, that Jazz team had Stockton, Malone, Hornacek and Thurl Bailey - average age 36.
