Had a meeting in Dallas that week, but made plans to get the first flight out on game day to allow plenty of time (and a backup flight) so I could make the game. I was a season ticket holder and decided to keep the playoff tickets for that game for myself. Got on the plane just fine and then after sitting at the terminal about 30 minutes they said there was a mechanical delay. 2 and a half hours later they said the flight wasn't going. By then my back up flight had taken off. The next flight out that night would not make the game. Several guys in 1st class were talking about going in on a charter to make the game. In the end, I got Delta to pay for a room at a dive hotel so I could watch the game on TV while my wife and 11 yr old son used my $500 per seat tickets. At least they won that game.
