I think too many fans wanted to see an improved passer that first game of the season — no matter what — & the game gave such people plenty enough of what they wanted to see. But Taysom never developed a reliable long ball at any point in his college career. And his mid-range accuracy was never something he sustained for the course of even a single game.
That said, his passes in NFL preseason last year looked remarkably improved over anything he threw in college. He had a very unfriendly ball the whole time he played for us, imo.
