Bob Rolle is fine and enjoyable, but Lance would bring so much knowledge and insight to the tactical nature of the tour. Say what you want about his well deserved legacy as a doper. But, IMO, no one other than Eddy Merckx was as tactically skilled in the grand tours as Lance. Merckx was clearly the greatest all around cyclist in history, but how fun would it have been to see those two go head to head in their prime in a grand tour?
