But the reality is being in contention for a title is super unlikely with the current system. I think our realistic goal there needs to be NY6 bowls. But even that is hard as an independent. It's going to require only losing a game or maybe none against schedules as hard or harder as we're playing.

Basketball we already had a team in very recent history that could have won a title but for an unfortunate suspension. And who knows what this year's team might have been able to do. I think we could regularly be on par with this year's team as a floor with good coaching.
