A lot of good recommendations, one more option
TP-link will work over the power cords in your home. There are 2+ devices that plug in wherever you want in your home. You can then plug an ethernet cord in to each. Connect one end to your router and the other end can connect to another router you might have, or can plug directly into a device. It should give you much faster internet than the mesh wifi. I lived in an old house that must have had some sort of led-lace-with-asbestos wall that just killed any wifi. Using TP-link I was able to get around the barrier and have wifi on both sides.

TP-link also has their own mesh system that leverages the power cord concept. No idea how it compares to the main mesh systems.
