the netgear nighthawk is the same one that I use, my BIL is an It guy and he says that's the one to get as well. It sends a signal throughout my house and yard, my in laws have it in a 3700 sqft house with no signal degradation anywhere. The google fi and others work well, but my preference is a single station with a strong signal rather than 6 stations that act as boosters. There is just less to go wrong.
