This was covered weeks ago. The only similarity that they share...
Is that they both come from a cow.
If cooked right either is amazing.
Tri tip way easier, but it's a roast. Brisket has to prepare properly, slow smoke for hours, but if it's done right it is incredible.

Completely agree. I’d much rather eat tri-tip than just about any beef.

No doubt. There's a reason you have to smoke brisket for 12+ hours to make it edible.

Sure it is. It just takes a lot of work to make it so. Tri-tip is the opposite. Almost impossible to screw up.
