built with it since you can buy roof decking with it already attached to the underside. Well worth the additional cost for material and no additional work required from the framers.

Probably correct. We did it all to lower the temperature upstairs. It worked. We're happy with it.

Depending on how handy you are. I have heard of lots of DIYers putting one in.
