didn't like that all too much. So he left. (Those are both just reasoned guesses, btw.)
And he can probably thank our signee Johnson for limiting his offensive production at SLCC too. (Just a hunch based on the stats.)
I'm guessing by now Popoola realizes his options are this:
1. Be a walkon at a big program — either a P5 or a good midmajor.
2. Be a scholarship player w no guarantees at a smaller midmajor.
3. Be a scholarship player w one more shot at a large role — at a small D1 school.
So he took option #3. Probably not how many of us would've chose — but it's not a terrible choice either. He probably really liked what the school itself had to offer. I wish him well.
