My son wore these Most of his mission

He said these were the best shoes he had.
I served in Central America so I knew to get rugged comfortable shoes, my son had 2 pairs of lowa boots for rainy season 1 pair of lowa low hikers (Above), 2 pairs of keen low hikers (they were more dressy) and 1 pair of of Merrill low hikers (also on the dressy side)
He wanted to be more dressy the beginning of his mission and burned through his first pair of keens in about 4-5 months, he switched to the lowa low hikers and used a pair of the boots in wet weather and ended up trading all the other pairs to some of the native elders that didn’t have very good shoes, he ended up passing down the lowa shoes when he left because they were highly coveted.
Probably a good idea to check that the MP is okay with hikers, I know my sons MP encouraged comfortable shoes because they had to many health issues with missionaries and knees and feet because of dress shoes not really made for the amount of walking on uneven surfaces they do there.
