There's a difference between laughing at yourself and laughing at someone else
about something they might have laughed about regarding themselves.
If you don't believe this, try reading Cougarboard after someone writes an article using old Mormon stereotypes or something similar. This place nearly melts down over something like that. I'm not saying everyone reacts the same way, but enough people do that I think its a good example for people to consider.
