So what's the guy killing your beef supposed to feel when Jesus stands next to

When the scriptures state that the flesh of the beasts and fowls have been ordained for the use of man with Thanksgiving. How do you understand that?
Who gave more thanks and gratitude, the hunter who harvested game by the sweat of his brow or the guy who bought it at the store?
