What a 'meh' take. Yes, BYU hired an inexperienced staff (with only 2 returning coaches). That may have been a mistake. Well, we are now 4 years removed from that and I like the coaching that is in place (and no, I don't think it is the best staff that BYU could put together). I like that we have experience and skill at key positions. I like that we have some upperclassmen. I like that BYU finally has DEPTH at most positions.
The 'trajectory' is upward — or plateaued at worst. Losses will happen, but I'm excited to see what BYU puts together in 2020.
