Killens in Houston was also good and we usually hit a few random hole in the wall bbq places near my clients offices or plants out in the middle of nowhere Texas.
I usually don’t get just brisket though because most places it’s just ok, so a two or three meat platter is my preferred choice just in case their brisket is too fatty or too dry or just bland, the ribs or pulled pork or sausage can save the meal. If they have turkey I almost always have that as one of the three meats.
